Erin Dionne
Professor
Chair of Liberal Arts Division
“I want my students to make connections between what they read on the page and the larger world outside Montserrat’s walls. Understanding the nature and responsibility of free expression should be first and foremost for any artist.”
Erin Dionne joined Montserrat’s Liberal Arts department in 2003. She teaches composition and courses in the Creative Writing minor. Additionally, she is the author of five award-winning novels for tweens: MODELS DON’T EAT CHOCOLATE COOKIES (Dial Books, 2009), THE TOTAL TRAGEDY OF A GIRL NAMED HAMLET (Dial, 2010), NOTES FROM AN ACCIDENTAL BAND GEEK (Dial, 2011) and MOXIE AND THE ART OF RULE BREAKING: A 14 DAY MYSTERY (Dial, 2013), which was a 2013 Edgar Award finalist. Her latest novel, OLLIE AND THE SCIENCE OF TREASURE HUNTING (Dial 2014) is set in Boston and uses the Boston Harbor Islands as a backdrop.
