Whether you want to learn a new skill, unwind after work, or embark on a unique cultural trip, there is something for every interest level at Montserrat! Check out the latest Continuing Ed offerings:
Kick off the month of August with Sip `n Paint on Friday, August 7 at The Bower, where you can enjoy drinks and a lo-fi soundtrack while creating an acrylic canvas painting with instructor Matt Dorado.
On Saturday, August 8, celebrate Beverly`s 400th anniversary outdoors with two hands-on workshops outside the Hardie Building. You can join Matt Dorado from noon to 4:00 PM for a festive plein air watercolor session at the Painting Party at Hardie, or join instructor Jen Boisvert from noon to 4:30 PM for the Botanical Wire Sculpture Workshop to craft custom floral and leaf art using wire and pliers.
Later in the month on Thursday, August 20, head back to The Bower for Sip `n Sketch with Matt Dorado, an evening dedicated to exploring charcoal and graphite drawing set to cozy jazz music.
Looking ahead to autumn, you can also join the Travel with Montserrat: Appalachia Reimagined trip from October 1 through 6, an immersive six-day journey exploring art, storytelling, historic craft traditions, roots music, and mountain culinary heritage across the Blue Ridge region.
