Montserrat students spent time in our print lab with silk painters from Ten Pound Studio in Gloucester, learning the resist and dye techniques behind traditional serti steam-set silk painting. It`s the kind of hands-on knowledge that doesn`t usually leave the studio, and our students got to learn it directly from four artists who have spent years preserving the practice.
