HAPPENING ONLY DURING YOUR NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Paint Wars – Seen here!
The new incoming class is broken into teams and prepare for battle throughout orientation. Students prepare a team name, a team flag, and varying degrees of costume/armor made from cardboard (save those boxes from move-in!). Students then march to the beach to participate in a colorful sword fight.
HAPPENING EVERY WEEK
There is always something going on campus! Keep an eye out for the Campus Life Weekly for announcements and events such as Open Mic Night, movie showings, games and more! If you want to see an event happen on campus attend the Student Voice Activities Meetings and bring up your ideas.
HAPPENING EACH YEAR
Montserrat has traditions that carry on each year. Here are some examples of programs that students have come to expect each year:
- FrightFest: Halloween themed dance party with costume contest and a haunted hallway!
- Curious Creatures: Chinchillas, Lizards, Snakes, Turtles, Spiders and more adorable critters!
- GenderF*ck Ball: An annual dance sponsored by SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance) that features drag performances.
- Gobblefest: Community Thanksgiving event
- Faculty/Staff/Student Kickball game, Late Night Breakfast, and other exciting events!
