Parking at Montserrat College

Montserrat College of Art is located in downtown Beverly, so we’re often asked, “Where should we park?” We have you covered.

If you’re visiting the admissions office, there are spots just for you in our small lot across the street from 41 Essex Street.

Our handicapped parking is located at 23 Essex Street. These spaces are reserved for those with state-issued handicapped placards or license plates.

Students may park at 23 Essex Street outside of normal staff/faculty operating hours (8am – 6:30pm).

Parking Laws & Enforcement

Please obey local parking regulations and parking signs posted by Montserrat, the City of Beverly, businesses and property owners.

Please do not park at the Beverly Public Library or in veterinarian’s parking lot at rear entrance to 301 Cabot.

Campus Security oversees all parking regulations. Parking enforcement will be suspended during student move-in week and during student move-out week. Individuals parking on campus assume all risks for their vehicle.

To learn more about parking, please contact security with any questions: Email or call 978.921.4243 x 1225.

Parking Bans

In the case of inclement weather, the City of Beverly may put into a parking ban into effect due to snow. If that happens, you will see blue “snow ban” lights at many Beverly intersections, including the Essex and Dane Street intersection near the Hardie building. When possible, an email will be sent to the Montserrat community alerting you to the parking ban.

When in doubt, call the Snow Emergency Hotline at 978.922.2500 to find out if a snow emergency is in effect.
