Andrew Mobray: New Heraldic Ordinaries

Mowbray uses Tyvek Home Wrap as the primary material in the construction of 2d works reminiscent of quilts and samplers, using Tyvek’s limited palette to create a diverse array of patterns and compositions. In a new series created for the Schlosberg Gallery, Mowbray uses this material in the construction of personal crests or heraldics as a commentary on economic and class inequality.
