Video Content Creator – Spring 2026

Department: Communications

Reports to: Sarina Green

Status: 5+ hours per week

Salary range: $15/hour

Summary: The Video Content Creator works with the Communications Team to create video content for the Montserrat social media channels, primarily TikTok.

Responsibilities:

• Recording campus events as requested
• Capturing general student/campus slice-of-life videos
• Creatively editing videos to completion for use in social media
• Uploading content to the communications drive promptly (typically within 24-48 hours of an event)
• Must have your own access to equipment (smartphone or camera)

Requirements:

• Understanding of introductory video/photography principles and editing
• Understanding of TikTok and what makes engaging content
• Access to video equipment (phone video is sufficient)
• Strong storytelling and communication skills
• Willingness and motivation to engage with people

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, manual dexterity to use computers and standard phone/video equipment, strength to lift and carry video equipment, supplies and other materials up to 35 lbs; physical ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
