Tour Guide Fall 2025 – Spring 2026

Status: Hours needed each week: 2-4 on average; Potential shifts available: Monday through Saturday, approx. one Saturday event per month; Expected Duration of Job: September to May (Academic Year)

Salary range: $15.00

Summary Statement: This position is responsible for conducting campus tours during weekday appointments as well as at weekend open house events.
Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Conducting campus tours.
  • Meet and greet prospective students and families.
  • Write follow-up cards to the students in each tour group.
  • This position reports to the Admissions Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Being extremely knowledgeable of the academics, student life, history and layout of the campus.
  • Reliable and responsible Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors at Montserrat College of Art.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • High level of comfort with public speaking, good sense of humor, positive attitude, and outstanding oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance appropriate for the work environment


Learning Outcomes:

  • Ability to speak publicly to groups while being attentive and conveying knowledge to them.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask. 
  • Ability to be on time and punctual. 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods of time and will be required to give tours around the campus in multiple hour shifts.
