The Green Bandana Project: Student Lead

Salary range: $15.00 per hour
The Green Bandana Project Student Lead will work within the Counseling department, managed by Elisabeth Reickert, Director of Counseling. At times, they will work in collaboration with the Wellness Center Outreach Assistant. The Green Bandana Project Student Lead (TGBP Student Lead) will assist with the development and implementation of the new campus initiative “The Green Bandana Project,” a peer-led program that increases student’s awareness of available mental health and suicide prevention resources both on and off-campus. The Student Lead serves as the main student liaison between the school, the TGBP Lead (Elisabeth) and the national TGBP organization. They oversee all aspects of the program, from the student recruitment and outreach, to event execution and progress tracking.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with TGBP Lead and staff
- Maintain momentum and visibility of the program throughout the year
- Assist with student onboarding (training, pledge, waivers)
- Design flyers, posters, and outreach graphics using TGBP templates
- Create campaigns for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention Months
- Organize and manage events tied to monthly themes (e.g., Mental Health Awareness Month)
- Ensure all events are inclusive, welcoming, and mission-aligned
- Collaborate with school clubs and departments for joint programming
