The Bower Operations Assistant

Salary range: $15/hour
Summary: The Bower Operations Assistant will support the daily functioning, creative energy, and community presence of The Bower (Montserrat’s three-level hub for artists, students, and creative entrepreneurs). This role is perfect for a student who likes hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a thriving dynamic creative environment where no two days are the same. The assistant will help maintain studios and common spaces, support artist tenants and community partners, assist with basic facilities tasks, and contribute to The Bower’s identity through events and social media.
Responsibilities:
40 % Facilities — moving furniture, painting, cleaning
20% Artist and Business partner support — coordinating access, supporting communication between creative enterprise and partners
20% event/programming assistance — helping with setup and breakdown of events, working with the event coordinators.
10% Creative communication — updating signage, brainstorming promotional materials, taking photos
10% Admin — Tracking inventory, equipment, managing communications, program support.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30 lbs and move tables and shuttle things on cart between workspaces
