Community Engagement Coordinator – FWS only, Spring 2025

Status: Expected Duration of Job: Spring 2025; Hours needed each week: 5
Salary range: $15/hr
Requirements: Students must be a Federal Work-Study student.
Summary Statement: Capturing photos and videos of the downtown district to be used as content for social media engagement.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Learn the physical footprint of downtown Beverly (AKA the Beverly Main Streets district)
- Collect photos and videos based on lists provided by the Beverly Main Streets staff
- Upload and sort content on a shared Google Drive
- Meet small business owners and work with them to determine how to best feature their space
- Provide at least one first-person “walking” video to the BMS staff by Friday of each week

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to cover roughly two miles of distance, with the flexibility of breaking this up into portions and multiple visits over time. The ideal applicant will have interest in meeting and communicating with business owners. The applicant will ideally have the ability to take quality pictures and video using their own device, but alternate arrangements can be made if needed.

Federal Work-Study is a need-based, federally funded program administered by Montserrat College of Art. A student’s eligibility is determined through the Student Financial Services office with the help of documents like the FAFSA. As such, this role is intended to support students who have been awarded FWS funding as part of their financial aid package.
Students are not allowed to work during their class time even if the class is cancelled, is let out early, or starts late.
