Beverly Senior Center Art Instructor – Spring 2026

Status: Hours needed each week: 5
Salary range: $15/hour
Summary: These student employees will develop, prepare, and host programming at the Beverly Senior Center/Council on Aging each month starting in Spring of 2025. Sandy, the Activities Coordinator at Beverly Council on Aging has reached out to us for the help of Montserrat students to run one monthly program of our own design as long as it runs each month. They would like to start with sea glass art and seashell decorating in January and February. Students will prepare materials, make examples, practice teaching, and then teach the class off campus at Beverly Council on Aging.

Responsibilities:
- Ideation of Monthly Art and Craft events for seniors
- Preparation of materials for the classes
- Creation of work examples
- Practicing the project and determining the length of the event
- Coordination with Beverly COA for event scheduling and timing

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Students must be able to get themselves to Beverly COA (about a 20 minute walk) during scheduled times. They also must be able to do some light lifting of materials.
