Montserrat College of Art is continuously seeking individuals interested in working with us as adjunct faculty in Liberal Arts at the undergraduate level. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time instructor positions that report to the Dean of Academic Affairs and their respective Department Chair and Area Coordinator(s).
The College is particularly interested in diversifying its faculty to better represent the student body and to introduce students to various ways of making from a wide range of people, places, eras, traditions, and perspectives.
Montserrat maintains an open pool of adjunct applications for all areas of study listed on our website. Applications are made available to the appropriate Division Chairs for review and remain on file for up to two years. Candidates will be reviewed to fill instructor positions as needed, for both day and evening courses. Not every candidate in the adjunct pool will be contacted.
Instructors will be expected to deliver coursework that fulfills the learning outcomes according to existing syllabi, with flexibility in content and delivery as appropriate. Requirements:
An earned graduate degree in the appropriate discipline, or significant and relevant professional experience. One to three years of higher education teaching experience is preferred. Experience with online course management software is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
The position takes place in an educational environment; manual dexterity to use computers is required.
