Arienne Boley (’18) a Licensed Disney Fine Artist

Published: April 17, 2025

Montserrat alumna Arienne Boley (‘18) is celebrating a new career milestone: she is now an Officially Licensed Disney Fine Artist

This official–and highly competitive–licensure from Disney means that Boley is among a limited group of professional fine artists who produce original paintings and prints based on classic Disney films. Since the title became official Boley has created over fifty licensed paintings for Disney and showcased them at Disney art events across the country, including at Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts. Her new cohort of other licensees includes artists she has long admired.

Boley arrives at this new stage in her career after a lifetime of artistic exploration–from childhood whiteboard doodles to pottery to photography. While attending Montserrat to study Illustration she learned how to make art that inspired her and was able to find the animating energy within her artistic practice: visual storytelling. She discovered that she was most motivated when combining story with visual art to create scenes that evoked a narrative and created a unique experience for the viewer.

Arienne began working at Walt Disney World in 2022, first as a Decorator and then as a Character Painter and Craftworker. Her personal work can be characterized by its bright, saturated colors which pairs naturally with Disney’s famous figures to serve as subject matter. Still, the latitude offered by her position as a licensed fine artist means the highly textural elements that often define her more personal work still appear in and influence the pieces she creates for Disney.
