The 2026 Bridge Program: August 5 – August 21, 2026
Heading to college for the first time is a massive milestone—one that is as exciting as it is a little intimidating. The Bridge Program at Montserrat is a summer opportunity designed to give you a head start on college life, helping you find your footing as both a student and a professional artist before the fall semester even begins.

This 2.5-week, live-in program is an immersive introduction to the Montserrat experience. You will build a foundation for success through:
- Skill Building: Intensive focus on artmaking, writing, and critical thinking.
- Life Skills: Practical workshops on time management, budgeting, and study habits.
- Networking: Start building relationships with faculty, staff, and your future peers.
- Exploration: Go on field trips across Beverly, the North Shore, and Greater Boston to visit galleries, museums, and creative industry spaces.

- 100% Free: There is no cost to participate in the Bridge Program.
- The Bridge Award: Upon successful completion of the program, students receive $1,600.00 to be used toward a future academic opportunity at Montserrat, such as an international travel program or a high-impact internship.
Application Details
Priority Deadline: July 1, 2026
All incoming students entering their First Year and the Foundation program are encouraged to apply.
- Late Applications: Applications received after July 1st will be considered on a rolling basis if spots remain available.
- Selection Criteria: While all applications are considered, priority is given to first-generation college students and those who demonstrate a clear vision of what they hope to achieve during the program.
