Montserrat’s program in Ballyvaughan, Ireland, is a four-week intensive comprised of two courses (one liberal arts course and one studio course) focusing on traditional storytelling and narrative art. The program is based at Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland. The trip includes hikes, spending a night on one of the Aran Islands, a trip into Galway, and visits with Irish storytellers and singer-songwriters. Students enrolled in the program take two classes for a total of 6 studio credits.
Dates: July 2027
Montserrat Student Cost: $6,500
Non-Montserrat Student Cost: $7,000

• Round-trip airfare from Boston to Shannon
• In-country rail and bus travel

Steps to Apply

- Notification of acceptance will be sent on or before December 20, 2026
After Acceptance
- Passport form and payment of $1,200* by January 27, 2027. You MUST submit proof of a current passport with your deposit!
- Payment of $2,600* due by February 24, 2027
- Final Payment of $2,600* due by March 24, 2027
