Cynthia Platt

Adjunct Instructor, PT

“Literature and writing are for everyone. My goal in all of my classes is to help students find themselves in the stories, poetry, and philosophy we read—and to hone their writing skills so they can communicate their thoughts and analyses on paper.”Cynthia Platt worked in the publishing industry as an editor for more than twenty years. A writer as well, she’s the author of books for young readers for all ages, including the picture books Grow and A Little Bit of Love. Her young middle grade novel, Parker Bell and the Science of Friendship, was published in 2019 and her first young adult novel, Postcards from Summer, in 2022. She’s also on the faculty of the MFA in Creative Writing program at Lesley University.
