Rebecca Nagle (’21) has WON a juried show at the Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI!

Rebecca’s piece, entitled COVID ISOLATION, is a systems painting was made in response to COVID-19 and completed this past April. She was kind enough to submit it to Montserrat’s Work In Progress Gallery project this spring, which highlighted the work and workspaces of the Montserrat community during the height of the pandemic in New England.

The show at Spring Bull Gallery, entitled PAPERWORKS, was juried by Nancy Gaucher Thomas. Of Rebecca’s First Place-piece, Nancy said: “COVID ISOLATION is a dynamic piece that caught my immediate attention. The grid of circles created a uniformity while the scribbled marks represented individual characteristics. Each one different in their own right but the same as the grid and circle encapsulated them.”

Those would like to see PAPERWORKS in person can stop by the Spring Bull Gallery at 55 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, Rhode Island. The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday, Noon – 4 PM. PAPERWORKS runs until October 18th.

Those can’t make it out to Newport can view all of the pieces in the show at the Spring Bull Gallery’s website.
