Sarah is an artist and art educator working at the intersection of illustration, graphic design, and fiber arts. Originally from Michigan, she earned a BFA in Photography from the College For Creative Studies in 2006, followed by an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2008. In tandem with her teaching career in the Metro Detroit area, Sarah also served as a managing member of OmniCorpDetroit; a collectively-run maker / artist / community space that is still operational in the city’s Eastern Market neighborhood.
Sarah is most recently a 2016 Artist in Residence at Industry Lab, an artful, collaborative working space in Cambridge, MA. Her work is frequently featured online as well as in brick-and-mortar galleries across the United States; most recently you can find her illustration work profiled in Alchemy: The Art and Craft of Illustration, published by Gingko Press.
