Performance Workshop: Score-Making for The Beast

Scoring is conceptual mapmaking for action, time, and space. In this workshop, taught by dance artist Sarah Slifer Swift, participants will research ways to interact with The Beast and craft a score for performance. This score will be performed for the public by Swift and others at varying times during the life of The Beast.
Sarah Slifer Swift is a dance artist and Director of Movement Arts Gloucester MA. She has created performance scores for HUBweek Boston, Peabody Essex Museum, Ocean Alliance, Trident Gallery, Montserrat Gallery, the Essex Shipbuilding Museum, and the Cape Ann Museum. She was Director of the Gloucester New Arts Festival 2005-2009, and currently Directs the Trident Live Arts Series.
