Marcia Hostetter has been teaching at Montserrat for two years. She received her BS degree in Psychology and Human Development from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and her MS from Wright State University in Counseling Psychology. In addition to teaching at Montserrat, Hostetter teaches at Salem State College. She also served as Program Director of Human Services at Lasell College in Newton, MA for ten years. Her current research interest includes the psychology of art and creativity, focusing on the development of drawing in childhood and creativity in later adulthood. In addition to teaching, she coordinates the prestigious Wilhelmina Denning Jackson Art Scholarships. In her spare time, she enjoys oil painting.
