I have lived most my life as an artist and designer, driven by the need to create and thrive in the
creative thought process. As a Professor of Design, and as a Hybrid, Integrated, Design Practitioner and Creative Strategist, with fine art roots, I am driven by the “art of possibility”.
My passion for the creative thought process is also demonstrated in my faculty role. My focus is on developing the student’s ability to think out of the box, exercising and utilizing creative process techniques while they practice articulating their concepts through effective communication solutions specific to the project at hand.
I advocate Integrated Media Design as well as developing the “Thinking Designer”. I am inspired by developing creative awareness in young artists and designers. Transforming innate talent to an entrepreneurial creative spirit in students, transcending their identity beyond their initial self-perceptions. This is the “aha!” in the learning experience in my view. Recent—Designed, onsite and online interactive year-long exhibit “Lunar Reflections” for Peabody Essex Museum. Developed curriculum, taught classes as an extension of the exhibit for PEM PM and February vacation programs.
Nominated for International Design Awards for Branding, Motion Graphics, Poster series- Graphic Design, Presentation Design for the categories of Innovation, Creative talent, and Design Excellence.
