New Robert Collins Gallery Means Montserrat Meeting

Former Montserrat Faculty member Robert Collins recently opened Robert Collins Gallery at 28 Bearskin Neck in Rockport. The inaugural show includes works by Professor Judy Brown and alumnus Jon Bolles, among many others in the North Shore arts community.

Says Robert Collins, “The gallery represents a life-long investigation into abstract painting, derivative of landscape painting, with respect to art history. Developing a personal shape vocabulary, personal mark-making skills and mixed material usage provides a platform for creating my own personal compositions.”

Among those visiting for the show’s opening was recent alumna Zoie Bleau (‘20), who has taken her BFA in sculpture back home to Worcester and subsequently launched it into space. Now, she works as an ultrasonic welder, helping to build full pressure suits for NASA.

Stop in to see the show at 28 Bearskin Neck, Rockport, 10 AM – 5 PM, Weds-Mon.
