Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is looking for a Summer Programs Paraeducator to join our seasonal team! This position will work closely with our Education Programs Manager to provide support for campers who need one-on-one support during camps and other educational programming. This will look different week by week based on camper needs. Our camps cover a wide variety of topics, from fishing to metal work, to archaeology, to watershed science and snorkeling. The Summer Programs Behavioral Aide is an essential part of making these camps accessible for all children. This position will also have the opportunity to help develop content for summer camps as well as youth and family visitors to the Museum. You must be motivated and able to work on a team as well as on your own. Work may include physically demanding tasks like canoeing, carrying supplies, hiking, snorkeling, life-guarding, and heavy lifting. This is a high-energy program where staff spend their days working and teaching in a unique and mostly outdoor environment. Previous experience as a teacher, paraeducator, counselor, or similar is preferred. This role is seasonal, June 16- August 22, 2025, 40 hours/week. (Exact start and end dates to be determined with successful candidate. There is flexibility for time off during non-camp weeks.) Salary: $18-$20/hour based on qualifications and experience.
