College Art Camp Counselor – Summer 2025

Description:
Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC) is seeking college counselors to assist with our Summer 2025 art
camp program this summer! Interns will work with PMAC’s lead instructors to help provide a great experience
for our summer youth art students. Candidates will also supervise the high school volunteer interns throughout
the day.

Details:
PMAC College Art Camp Counselors will work with the teaching team to provide assistance and guided
instruction throughout the week. Candidates will gain instructional experience, insight on the inner workings of
an art camp day, and learn how to demonstrate techniques and skills to students. They also will supervise the
high school counselors.

This summer’s art camps will take place at PMAC (Portsmouth) and at Kittery Community Center (KCC).
College interns must be available for the entire week of the camp (Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
and be available for a counselor orientation and meetings. This position is a paid internship and preference
goes to college students majoring in the visual arts field.

ART CAMP SCHEDULE – Summer 2025
Monday – Friday, June 30 – July 3, 9am – 3pm (Monday – Thursday)
Monday – Friday, July 7 – 11, 9am – 3pm
Monday – Friday, July 14 – 18, 9am – 3pm
Monday – Friday, July 21 – 25, 9am – 3pm

Camp Counselors are required to be onsite for 30 minutes prior to camp day and 30 minutes after the camp
day is complete to wrap up the day.
