Corinne Reid, who graduated from Montserrat in 2011 and works as an Illustration instructor, was hired by TIME to illustrate their article, THE 100 BEST FANTASY BOOKS OF ALL TIME. The work included a beautiful header image, a drop cap, and 6 pages of spot illustrations and border art.
In 2011, during her senior year, Reid traveled to NYC to accept the Society of Illustrators National Student Award. She was accompanied by Dean Laura Tonelli and then-President Steve Immerman. Since then, Reid has had her work published in American Illustration, SPECTRUM, and Creative Quarterly. Further she’s done work for high profile clients like the Wall Street Journal, Field & Stream, Penguin Random House, and Little, Brown, and Company. She currently teaches Journalistic and Natural Science Illustration at Montserrat.
Reid said that it “was very exciting to illustrate subject matter near and dear to me, and the chance to create a collage of ethereal fantasy characters was a blast.”
