Mondays & Wednesdays 6:35pm -9:15pm

Position Description
Montserrat College of Art seeks a part-time, adjunct faculty member to teach an advanced Illustration III course (3 credits).
Topics covered in the class include concept and narrative image making, refinement of skills and introduction to market specific criteria.

Course description: Working from preliminary sketches to finished art, students in this course work on assignments focused on creating a stronger visual vocabulary. Attention to dynamic staging, color concepts, conceptual and narrative implementation and refinement of media will be addressed. Students will begin to place their assignments within the context of the contemporary illustration market. Contemporary illustration work is examined and discussed.

Requirements
An MFA and/or professional/studio experience in illustration is required. Three years higher education experience preferred. Fluency with the Adobe Suite.

Additional Requirements
Position takes place in an educational environment; manual dexterity to use computers is required.
