Digital Fabrication Studio

Montserrat’s Digital Fabrication Studio is an interdisciplinary lab open to students from all concentrations. It houses computer-driven equipment at the intersection of digital design and physical output including 3d printers, laser and vinyl cutters. It makes digital fabrication accessible to students and fosters experimentation with new technologies.”

“The Fabrication Studio opens up possibilities for our students,” said instructor Winslow Funaki. “It lets them create things from print blocks to molds to stencils that would otherwise be impossible or time-consuming using traditional techniques. The experience our students gain impacts their artistic practices and is also valuable to them once they enter the job market.”

The Digital Fabrication Studio is housed in the college’s 301 Cabot Studio Building.
