Student Art at Green Meadows Farm

Green Meadows Farm in South Hamilton has recently been “peppered” with some great installations by our students!

A headless, red man is waving from the strawberry patch, and a giant nest made of sticks sits in the woods — all the work of 11 Montserrat College of Art students from Elizabeth Alexander’s class, who created them this spring for a course in installation art. This piece, “Prometheus,” by Grant Archer ’13 has been installed in the Operation Troop Support field next to their strawberry patch. Stop by the farm for a visit and experience the collaboration between local communities!

“It wasn’t necessarily a conventional sculpture class, but more of an exploration of space, based on the distinction between sculpture and installation,” said senior Grant Archer ’13.
