September 17, 2011

“Forget calling it the Garden City. With the overwhelming number of art exhibits scheduled for viewing in Beverly, it might as well be renamed the Art City.”

Montserrat’s “For the Record” and staff member Lauri Chertok and Prof. Barbara Moody’s “Pieces” were featured in The Beverly Citizen. To view Beverly Citizen’s full article about the flourishing art in Beverly, click here!

In conjunction with the “For the Record” exhibition, will be a Symposium, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, which is a two-day event with a variety of speakers from across the country. Key note speaker is critic and author Robert Storr. Other participants are artist James O’Neil, author Susanne Slavick, photographer Nina Berman, culture scholar Steven Dubin, and social historian Gordon Arnold. Included is a screening of Sebastian Junger’s documentary film Restrepo.

The event is free, but requires registration. Register Today!

Also, The Gallery Della-Piana in Wenham is currently displaying “Pieces,” which features the unique work of faculty member’s Lauri Chertok and Barbara Moody through Friday, Nov. 4
