Katy Rogers (’14) Sees Continued Photographic Success

January 30, 2020

Congratulations to alumna Katy Rodgers (’14) on her continued success. She has won five of the past six monthly awards from the Greater Lynn Photographic Association, which is one of the largest photography clubs in New England. Last year one of her photographs was named the GLPA’s “Image of the Year.”

Rogers graduated from Montserrat with a degree in Fine Arts and a minor in Art History, transitioning from illustration to photography after her photograph of actor Adam Sandler in front of the old Everett High School appeared in the newspaper. It was one of her first professional photographs, but many have followed.

State Senator Sal DiDomenico says that “Katy Rogers is a woman of immense talent and a good friend of mine. I know she’s worked many years honing her craft and I consider her one of the top photographers and journalists in the area. She’s at every event but more important than just doing her job, she’s a personable, kind person… I congratulate her on winning these prestigious awards for her photography.
