Public Artist Talk – Julie Zammarchi

Julie Zammarchi’s animated films combine the surreal with the lyrical to create a modern take on the traditional cartoon. Her award winning independent films have been screened at film festivals and theaters worldwide. She partners with clients, producers, and fellow filmmakers to create things for various platforms such as print, the web, television, theater, and museum installations. Client list includes: StoryCorps, Sperry Top-sider, The Smithsonian Institute, The McCormick Freedom Museum in Chicago, Sesame Workshop, HBO, and Nickelodeon among others. Zammarchi has instructed students at RISD, Harvard University, Massachusetts College of Art, Emerson College, Montserrat College of Art, and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
