Feast Mass Call for Proposals

July 3, 2012

Feast Mass is announcing an open call for proposals for the 7th Feast Mass on Saturday, July 28, 7 – 10 pm.

Feast Mass is a recurring dinner party in Boston. During the night, people present proposals for creative, community-based projects that need funding. Everyone votes, and the winner receives a grant funded entirely from the night’s ticket sales!

Feast Mass #6 was in March, and Alaina Gurdak took home $1,050 for her project Big Class Boston.

Now we want to hear from you. Have an idea that could delight, feed, teach, or otherwise enhance your neighborhood? Submit it to Feast Mass. If you win, you’ll take home a grant, in cash, the same night, on the order of $1,000. A few months later, you’ll return to the next Feast Mass to tell us how you’re spending the grant.

To apply, send answers to the following questions to [email protected], by July 21st:

What is the title of your project?
Describe your project. Is it an event, an experiment, a movie, a meal, an installation?
How will you use the grant to make your idea happen? Will you buy materials, hire workers, rent a space? Be specific.
Why and to whom is your project important?
If you win, what is the expected status of your project by the time the next Feast Mass rolls around in 3–4 months?
