Asst. Prof. Erin Dionne’s Novel on Lone Star List
Asst. Prof. Erin Dionne has made it on to the 2012 Texas Lone Star reading list for the second time in row! (which is an extremely rare thing to do) This year it’s for NOTES FROM AN ACCIDENTAL BAND GEEK. The list was put together by the Texas Library Association where 12 books were chosen to highlight in schools and public libraries for the coming year. Erin’s TOTAL TRAGEDY OF A GIRL NAMED HAMLET made the list last year!
NOTES is a can’t-miss, genuinely fun middle-grade novel that brings out the inner band geek in all.

Erin will discuss the writing, competitive marching band, and her new novel Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 11:30am in the Paul M. Scott Library.
An eight-year veteran of polyester uniforms and football halftime shows, Erin transformed her marching band experiences into a humorous, chaotic coming-of-age story. Stop by the library to learn more about the novel, see embarrassing photos of Erin in uniform, and have treats!
