CEANS to meet at PEM for Nov. 13 Breakfast

CEANS (The Creative Economy Association of the North Shore) invites you and your creative colleagues to a breakfast meeting at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 8 – 9:30 am to network and hear some of the latest information concerning our creative future.

Matthew Wilson, the director of MASSCreative, a newly formed arts advocacy group, will discuss plans to bring more resources and attention to the creative community and arts education in Massachusetts. MASSCreative is sponsored by funding from the Boston-Foundation and Hunt Alternative Fund, and was created to help citizens and leaders of local creative organizations win the attention and resources necessary to make Massachusetts a creativity-driven state from the ground up. www.mass-creative.org

Jay Finney, Deputy Director for Marketing Communications and New Media at the Peabody Essex Museum, www.PEM.org will provide a brief overview of the museum’s multi-million dollar expansion and what that means for jobs in the creative economy.

Paula B. Richter, Curator for Exhibitions and Research at the PEM, will offer a brief overview of the exhibit, Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones, on display through Feb. 3.
