Annual Fund 2013

November 18, 2013

The day after the Boston Marathon attacks Montserrat alumnus Aaron Bouvier ’04 felt as helpless as the rest of us as we waited for news. Struck by the tragedy and camaraderie of the city, he designed and posted One Heart Boston, an iconic image of the Boston skyline suggesting unity. Immediately embraced across social media, it became emblematic of the community’s efforts to recover. An experienced designer, Aaron worked swiftly to create a variety of products bearing his design. These sold out quickly, raising significant funds to benefit victims and families of the bombings.

Aaron is now a senior designer for Mullen, and operates his own business, Aaron Bouvier Design. Whether galvanizing the public with One Heart Boston, or creating work to advance his clients, his success in the creative economy is built on hard work and his Montserrat education.

We need your help to make that same rigorous creative education available to more young people. To nurture more Aarons. Please consider contributing $25 to support Montserrat’s annual fund, which helps to fund more than $3.8 million in financial aid that the college awards annually to make earning an education possible.
