Alumni News: Megan Hermey ‘13 Design Work for New NBC Series Aquarius

Montserrat College of Art Illustration alumna Shepard Reid (Megan Hermey) ’13 designed the poster (above) and pitch book on the new NBC television show Aquarius while it was in pre-production. Both the poster and book will be displayed by ITV and NBC at Cannes in the fall of 2015.

Aquarius stars David Duchovny (of X Files & Californiacation) as a Los Angeles policeman in the 1960s investigating  Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony). For more information about Aquarius visit nbc.com

Hermey has also been working on pre-production work for NBC/Universal and providing graphic design services for the upcoming major motion picture ‘Trumbo,‘ a biography of Dalton Trumbo, one of the Hollywood Ten.

Hermey had done an internship for the Blank Theatre, right after finishing Air Force basic training, and was introduced to John McNamara, who wrote and is executive producing both Trumbo and Aquarius. After conducting several research projects for McNamara, he asked Hermey to make an ad poster for Aquarius as a pitch and the rest was history.
