Eben Archer Kling: Uninhibited Behavior

Artist Reception: Saturday, March 16, 5 – 8 pm
On View: March 4 – 23

Kling’s works are about apathy and recreational distraction. There are cigarettes, beer bottles, coffee and greasy diner food everywhere. These new paintings on canvas are huge in scale and feature a loud palette, like billboards selling the lifestyle of sinister neglect for the world at large.

Originally from Connecticut, Montserrat College of Art alum, Eben Kling ’09 currently resides in Amherst MA and is enrolled as a full time MFA student at the UMASS Amherst Graduate Program. Kling has exhibited across the U.S. and his work has also appeared in several publications both online and in print.
