Alumni Comic Artists Exhibition + Panel Discussion

Montserrat College of Art is pleased to announce the upcoming comic inspired exhibition Capes and Crusaders in the 301 Gallery. The exhibition is co-curated by Montserrat alumni Adam Miller ’00 and Josh Morrissette ’00 and will be a compilation comic art that will showcase an impressive body of work. The exhibition will feature various techniques and styles and join together over fifty artists to bring their comic book visions to life. It will be highlighted by a selection of works from the Randy House Collection, including art by Drew Struzan, Frank Frazetta, James Jean and more.

In addition, Montserrat presents a panel discussion, Just Make Something! Comic Artists at Montserrat College of Art, earlier that day surrounding comic book themed art and topics such as creativity, accountability, production and networking, featuring Filmmaker Tom Bennett as moderator and six artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Panelists include: Jerry Ma, Ken Knudtsen, Adam Miller, Josh Morrissette, Andy Houle, and Dave Ferreira. This will be a unique experience for any lover of comic books, illustration, art and storytelling.
