For three years students have spent their Winter break studying the diverse art of more than five Malian tribes. “Art du Mali: Montserrat in Africa”, curated by Jacqueline Sorensen, exhibits work from and inspired by Mali. Come witness the strength and beauty of Malian people in the face of devastating poverty. The rich traditions that hold the Malian community together are alive in their art. Donations of basic art and school supplies will be collected at the gallery throughout the duration of the show for the Dogon people. Our Dogon guide, Moise Sagara, will hand deliver them. |
