Application Requirements

To apply online, please complete the following:

  • $40 application fee (please use paypal buttons on this page, or at the top of the online application form)
  • A letter of reference from an art teacher or high school guidance counselor (email to ce@montserrat.edu)

Topics for your artist statement should include your artistic experiences and any artistic challenges you've faced up to this point, who or what has influenced your art, why you want to attend Montserrat's Pre-College Program, and what you intend to gain from your participation.

Please note if you intend to apply for a scholarship, there are additional requirements. Please refer to the scholarship page here and mail the additional requirements to:

Priority consideration for:
International applicants: April 1, 2013
Scholarships: April 24, 2013
Applications: May 24, 2013, accepted on a rolling basis
Full Payment: June 14, 2013

tuition & fees
Tuition: $2750*
*includes all studio courses, art supplies, field trips, and activities
Housing (optional): $750
Total Cost:  $3500*
*includes art supplies!

A non-refundable $300 tuition deposit is required upon acceptance to
the program.  This deposit is applied to the final balance of the
program cost.

tax exemption
The Montserrat College of Art Pre-College program is a credited program from a Nationally Accredited Institution: as such, you may be able to claim your tuition payment on your taxes. Please consult your tax professional for more information.
