The work of the late Frances Ferro Carreiro, (’01) will be on exhibit Sept. 1-29th at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 705 Hale St., Beverly Farms. An opening reception will be held Thursday, Sept. 9 from 5-8 pm. The public is invited.
The exhibition is being produced by her husband, Nicholas, of Gloucester and her granddaughter, Kim Arntsen of Manchester-by-the-Sea.
A scholarship in Mrs. Carreiro’s name is awarded each year during Montserrat’s annual Open House celebration.
Carreiro’s colorful, whimsical work won many awards and she exhibited widely on the North Shore prior to her death at age 79.
