Paper Girl Northampton

What a blast it was Friday night in Northampton, MA! The Paper Girl Northampton Project held its gala closing exhibition (and party) at Thorne’s Market, the night before the big art giveaway. (To read more about the project, go to www.papergirlnorthampton.com, or check it out on Facebook.) According to one of the leaders of the pack, Adam Kology, they received approximately 300 pieces of art. The exhibition revealed a range of media, and impressively high quality. Artists came from all over, both local and distant, and Montserrat was well-represented. The same can be said of the attendees at the party: Adam Kology, Katherine Romansky and Eben Kling, (The Paper Girl Northampton organizers), Lillian Harden, Brendan McCauley, Caitie Vale, Jeff Havens, Adria Sutter, Justin Durand, Ashley Brown, Steve Trevathan, Chelsea Sams, Chris Stepler, Emily Pardoe, Cape musicians (soon to be Northampton residents) Mike Gundlach and Rob Toher-Rob in the DJ role, making sure the music was cranked. And, of course, major supporter and videographer, Ethan Berry. Katherine’s father was amazed at the number of Montserrat friends there, including the Beverly contingent who drove through the rain at breakneck speed to make it on time, and made the return trip later that night. Saturday was the art giveaway, and we’re hoping it was as much fun as the rest of it. Well done, everybody.
