Please join me in congratulating senior Danielle Smith for being chosen for the Society of Illustrators National Scholarship Competition from well over a thousand nationwide entries! Her work will be exhibited this Spring at the Society of Illustrators Gallery in New York with the other winners! It’s a big honor!

Dawn Paul Will Read from Her New Novel

dawn_paul-novel2Writing faculty member Dawn Paul will read from her new novel, The Country of Loneliness, on Wednesday, February 24, at 7 to 9 pm at the Beverly Public Library, Main Branch, 32 Essex Street .  There will be a book sale and signing after, with proceeds to benefit the Beverly Public Library.

This event was re-scheduled due to storm closings.

The photos in Lampton’s Macao series reveal cultural contrasts in construction sites and other transitions as the Chinese Territory transforms into a new world gambling capital. Selections from Macao are currently on view in the Carol Schlosberg Alumni Gallery.

In 2009 Montserrat Faculty Morten traveled to Hungary as a Fullbright scholar on a five-month research grant. She will speak about her project “Time Collepse: Contemporary Sculpture Inspired by Prehistoric Artifacts of the Carpathian Basin.”

All talks take place in room 201, Hardie building.
