Featuring Leonie Bradbury
Director & Curator of the Gallery and Visiting Artist Program, Montserrat College of Art

Originally from The Netherlands, Leonie Bradbury began her academic career at the University of Amsterdam, receiving a Certificate in Archeology and Art History. She earned a B.A. in Art History and Studio Art (Painting) from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and holds an M.A. in the History of Art from Boston University. Her specialty is 20th century Art, Theory, and Criticism. Bradbury has organized exhibitions for the Minneapolis Institute for the Arts, Boston University Art Gallery, and George Eastman House: International Museum of Photography and Film, Rochester NY. She has worked at Montserrat College of Art Galleries in Beverly, MA since 2003 and has served as its Director and Curator since 2005. The contemporary art exhibitions that Bradbury curates, both solo and group, feature a range of emerging and established artists of national and international note. Two of her exhibitions have received awards from the Association of International Art Critics (AICA): A New Order: Appropriation Art in the Digital Age and Electric Wasteland: Urban Art from L.A.
