Montserrat College of Art’s Artrageous!24 benefit art auction will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at 72 Cherry Hill Drive, Beverly, MA. Alumnus Eric Hopkins of North Haven Island, Maine, will be this year's Honorary Artist. Through his art and with his thoughts and ideas about life on this Big Blue Planet, Hopkins has created an international following.
This year's Auction Co-Chairs are Linda Harvey and Liz Dellicker.
The Auction includes work by some of the finest professional artists in the region including alumni, faculty, staff, students, trustees and friends.
The event consists of live and silent auctions juried by Carey Vose of Vose Gallery, Martha Richardson of the Martha Richardson Gallery and Zola Solomente of Arden Galley.
Sponsor, patron and advertising opportunities are also available.
Public Previews will be held April 26 & 27. Forty pieces sold at preview last year.
Auction proceeds go directly to support student scholarships, enabling Montserrat students to obtain a first-rate fine arts education. At present, close to 95% of Montserrat students receive aid.
