Robert Eshoo, American, BFA, MFA, was born in New Britain, Connecticut. His works are exhibited regionally and nationally and were included in the “Art in Embassies Program” in Paris, France and Bangkok, Thailand.

Eshoo is a MacDowell Colony Fellow and was included in the Fall, 1996 Exhibition “A Century of MacDowell Colony Artists”.

His works are included in museum collections at Chase Manhattan Bank, New York; Dartmouth College, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute, the Addison Gallery at Phillips Academy, Andover; The Currier Museum of Art, the New Britain Museum of American Art and Wadsworth Atheneum, among others. He has taught at Phillips Academy, Andover, MA, Syracuse University, and was the former Director of the Currier Art Center.

He was featured in Art in America and Harper’s Bazaar, in addition to having reviews in The Boston Globe, Art New England, and The Christian Science Monitor. He is a Boston Arts Festival Prize Winner. He has exhibited in New York a the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; the Portland Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, the Addison Gallery at Phillips Academy, DeCordova Museum, the New Britain Museum of American Art, The Chicago Art Institute, Brandeis University, Virginia Museum of fine Arts, The University of Illinois, New England College, The Swetzoff Gallery, Boston; Rieglehaupt Gallery, Boston; Picker Gallery, Boston; Paul Arts Center, University of New Hampshire; The Currier Museum of Art, St. Paul School, Mobile Art Gallery, AL; and Corcoran Gallery, Washington, among others.

Eshoo holds a degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and BFA and MFA degrees from Syracuse University. He did post-graduate study at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Robert Eshoo has worked in oils, sculpture, watercolor and a variety of media. His is currently painting in watercolors.
