Donated artwork by internationally know artists Will Barnet, Edward Burtynsky, Norman Laliberté, and Howard Finster will surely delight our many patrons and sponsors, and yet the student art is some of the most exciting and innovative of all. This year's guest jurors Michelle Lamuniere of the Fogg Museum at Harvard, and Dina Deitsch from the DeCordova Museum have chosen to include nine student works among the twenty-five they selected. This is a wonderful recognition of the talent and creativity that our wonderful faculty nurtured in their students. Our theme this year touches on mentoring. Opportunities to instill a love for art in a young person are endless. This year we are suggesting that adults take the time to view this website with a young person, or better still, bring them to one of our two public previews. Allow the child, perhaps a grandchild nephew or niece, to select a favorite piece and purchase it for them. Seeing what a young person chooses without the influence of adults is amazing. It may cause you to view art in a completely new way. Become the adult who purchases the first artwork in their collection. Begin a lifetime of unique memories shared only by them and you. Begin a tradition that lasts beyond a lifetime or start or add to your own art collection. Either way, you are helping to raise money for student scholarship. We hope you will participate.
