Mark Glovsky and Livia Cowan

Mark is the Managing Member of the Beverly law firm, Glovsky and Glovsky LLC, founded by his grandfather in 1917, based on the maxim: "The proper practice of law involves being an asset to oneself and the community." Mark's father, C. Henry Glovsky, served as President of the North Shore Community Arts Foundation, the parent of the North Shore Music Theater, for more than twenty years and presided over the founding of Montserrat College of Art in 1970. He was awarded its first Honorary Degree in 1988. Mark served on the Board of the College from its incorporation until his retirement, after service as Chairman, in 2003. Mark currently serves the College as a member of the newly formed Catalyst Campaign Committee, charged with raising $8 million to construct the College's first new facility, an interconnected four-building student village which will provide housing and studio space for seventy-eight students.

Livia is the President and Creative Director of Mariposa, a wholesaler of gift and tableware based in Manchester, Massachusetts. She founded the Company over twenty years ago. What began as a youthful endeavor has become a successful worldwide venture that sources its products in Europe, Mexico, China and now India. All of Mariposa's designers are artists — painters and sculptors — and view each piece they make as a work of art. That connection to the arts inspires her respect for, and devotion to Montserrat. Mariposa proudly makes donations to support scholarships and financial aid for Montserrat students. This year, Livia will premier two signed pieces by Mariposa artists Michael Updike and Shelly Bradbury, as special gifts to Artrageous.
